Side Effects or Nerves?
This blog has some graphic pics of skin rash that had occurred after taking the 150 mg of Tarceva. Within an hour of taking my first Tarceva pill on Nov 6, 2016, I started to break out in hives. I started feeling itchy under my arms and my face was starting to get hot and my legs were beginning to tingle and itch as well. This lasted about 2 hours and then I finally went to sleep when I realized my throat was not swelling or closing. The next morning I awoke and no hives were evident so I contacted my kids and my Dr. The Dr. stated that there was no findings of anyone being allergic to this medication, but as a precaution, they wanted me to stop taking it and see them on Wednesday. My son called me and said, “Damn it dad, this is important and you CAN’T be allergic to this medication and do what you always say to us and make this a mind over matter incident and stop worrying about it!!” I took his words to heart because he was right about me always telling them, “If you think you’re gonna get sick, you will so mind over matter is very important for good health.” That night I said a prayer and asked God to let my body take this medication without breaking out into hives or swelling and it worked. The night before I was so worried about what the medicine was going to do to me that I got myself stressed out and had a stress breakout of hives. I had no issues with hives the second night, thank God!
