I Fit the Mold

Today is simulation day to take X-Rays and scans to develop an in depth radiation treatment for my tumor.  I was on the table for about an hour and a half and they made a molded cast of my upper body and legs so that I am situated the same on the table every time when I come in for treatment.  The scans and X-Rays will be used to determine my breathing patterns and a team of Doctors will develop a treatment plan according to my respiratory movements and position of tumor.  It will take them approximately 5-7 business days to develop the plan but typically this type of highly concentrated radiation is 5 treatments every other day.
